Nice to see you all again! You're staring at (and hopefully by now listening to) the lead-off single from L.L.'s soon-to-be-completed second LP...and this one sure is gonna be a gas! The new full-length hodge-podge of retro musical musings will likely be introduced to your ears by winter of '21. In the meantime:

Espionage-infused ska meets 60's instro/surf/garage...named in tribute to the famed detective from "Naked City" (the 1958-1963 ABC crime drama... it's the best...watch it all!).

A cover of a personal favorite Groovie Ghoulies song, the subject matter in keeping with Jamaican music's ever-popular monkey motif (eg: "Monkey Ska", "Monkey Spanner", "The Higher the Monkey Climb", "Monkey Man" etc.).

A veteran of the US ska scene, L.L. served as the guitarist for the highly regarded instrumental ska/reggae group The Secondhands, and its vocal off-shoot that came in the form of Brent Berry & The Roots Crew, later providing guitar work for The Shop, another 60's ska and reggae group that in typical ‘show band’ fashion focused on the choicest cuts from Jamaican producers of vintage stature. ... more
