A veteran of the US ska scene, L.L. served as the guitarist for the highly regarded instrumental ska/reggae group The Secondhands, and its vocal off-shoot that came in the form of Brent Berry & The Roots Crew, later providing guitar work for The Shop, another 60's ska and reggae group that in typical ‘show band’ fashion focused on the choicest cuts from Jamaican producers of vintage stature.
